Hey Folks, Jeff Bishop here, |
At 12:01 this morning, nearly 159 million shares in a small Nasdaq mining stock were compressed into about 3.18 million when a 1-for-50 reverse split took effect. |
A few hours later, the company released a major new report on its rare-earth project in Greenland. |
That combination has put this stock squarely on my “tactical trade” radar heading into Tuesday. |
👉 See the post-split stock I’m watching right here 👈 |
Reverse splits have produced some extraordinary trading action lately. |
Take PFSA. |
Its 1-for-4 reverse split took effect last Monday. Within roughly 24 hours, the stock went vertical. It ran from about $4.48 to $27.50 on a split-adjusted basis. |
That’s a move of roughly 515%. |
DFNS went through a much larger 1-for-125 reverse split in July. Shortly afterward, its stock ripped from around $4.40 to $84.98 over roughly three trading days. |
That works out to around 1,830%. |
STKH gives us another recent example. |
Its 1-for-3 reverse split took effect on July 27, when the stock closed at $1.35. The very next session, shares traded as high as $6.30. |
That intraday high was roughly 367% above the split-day close. |
Now, the company I’m watching tonight has completed a 1-for-50 split, shrinking its outstanding share count to roughly 3.18 million shares. |
I’m not claiming this situation will replicate what we’ve seen with some of these incredible recent winners, but I definitely think you should put it on your radar, solely to watch it. |

And traders have fresh company news to digest on top of it… |
This morning, the company released a new independent report on its rare-earth project in Greenland. |
The big takeaway is simple: the project contains a large amount of rare-earth material, including roughly 40,700 tonnes of two metals called neodymium and praseodymium. |
Those metals are key ingredients in the powerful magnets used in things like electric vehicles, wind turbines, robotics and other advanced technology. |
And according to the company, the amount identified at this one Greenland project is equal to roughly five years of all the neodymium-praseodymium oxide refined outside China in 2025. |
Greenland’s government also approved the transfer of the project’s exploration license on Friday, clearing an important condition tied to the company’s planned acquisition of the project. |
Tomorrow morning, this company enters another trading session with roughly 3.18 million shares outstanding after today’s 1-for-50 split, while the market digests a fresh independent report on its Greenland asset. |
I’ll have it on my screen from the opening bell. |
