August 31st

Greetings, Friend!

Did you catch this?

On August 17th, 2026, Goldgroup Mining Inc. (NYSE American: GORO) released selected drill results from the Don David gold and silver mine in Oaxaca.

The headline figures were not the intercepts but the volume behind them: 25,726 metres across 123 holes in the seven months to July 31st, drilled with as many as five underground rigs and two surface rigs working at once.

The grades did their part.

Hole 525086 on the Sadie 1 vein returned 1.92 metres of estimated true width at 13.49 grams per tonne gold and 931 grams per tonne silver.

Hole 426017 at Alta Gracia, a greenfield target outside the producing complex, cut 3.26 metres at 3.34 grams per tonne gold and 1,079 grams per tonne silver.

Chairman and interim Chief Executive Officer Javier Reyes said the aim is to "continue discovering and defining mineralization with potential to extend mine life, grow our resource base and create long-term shareholder value."

That drilling belongs to a company that looked very different two months earlier.

Goldgroup and Gold Resource Corporation closed a business combination on July 17th, 2026.

Gold Resource delisted from the NYSE American and Goldgroup took the GORO symbol, adding Don David and the Michigan Back Forty project to the two Sonoran assets it already held.

The combined company reports four 100% owned properties, two of them producing, cash of US$46Mn and no debt as of June 2026.

Management describes a vision of more than 250,000 ounces of gold equivalent annual output.

The Sector Backdrop

The metal has done a great deal of the work.

Gold was quoted near $4.67K per ounce in late August 2026, roughly 40% above where it stood twelve months earlier.

J.P. Morgan Global Research currently forecasts gold reaching $6K per ounce by the end of 2026 and $6.3K by the end of 2027, citing central bank demand, reserve diversification away from dollar assets and hedging against fiscal and geopolitical risk.

Prices at that level change the arithmetic for small producers in two ways: existing ounces are worth more, and previously marginal deposits move back onto the drawing board.

Goldgroup's own Back Forty assessment illustrates the point, modeling an after tax net present value of $214Mn at $1.8K per ounce gold and $556Mn at a consensus price of $3.04K.

About The Company: Goldgroup Mining Inc. (NYSE American: GORO)

The business sells gold and silver with copper, lead and zinc credits.

Don David is an underground mine on 55,000 hectares in Oaxaca feeding a 1,800 tonne per day flotation plant, with 37,000 to 52,000 ounces of gold equivalent expected in 2026 and measured and indicated resources of 1.49Mn tonnes at 3.88 grams per tonne gold equivalent.

Cerro Prieto is an open pit heap leach in Sonora producing since 2013, with an in house 2026 estimate of 17,000 to 20,000 plus ounces.

San Francisco, acquired outright in June 2026, holds 1.23Mn measured and indicated ounces and 16,875 tonnes per day of installed crushing, with a restart targeted for 2027.

Back Forty in Michigan's Upper Peninsula carries 14.5Mn tonnes at 2.21 grams per tonne gold, 27 grams per tonne silver, 0.38% copper and 3.35% zinc, and entered a definitive feasibility study under SLR Engineering.

Behind The Scenes

Two governance items sit behind the operating news.

On July 20th, Eric Sprott reported holding 10,084,746 common shares and 3,963,063 warrants following the arrangement, roughly 7.5% of the company non diluted and 10.1% partially diluted, stating the shares are held with a long term view.

One week later the board announced a leadership transition: Allen Palmiere left the Chief Executive Officer role, chairman Javier Reyes stepped in on an interim basis, and a search for a permanent appointment began while integration continued.

Tracking 6 Key Potential Catalysts Backing (NYSE American: GORO)

#1. A Full Sweep Of Bullish Readings On Barchart Right Now. All 13 technical indicators tracked by Barchart are flashing bullish on GORO, across short, medium and long terms including the website’s composite “Trend Seeker” indicator.

#2. Four Wholly Owned Assets Spread Across Two Jurisdictions. Mexico supplies the production and the restart candidate while Michigan supplies North American development exposure, giving GORO more than one path forward.

#3. A Feasibility Study Underway On A Polymetallic Michigan Deposit. Back Forty pairs gold with silver, copper and zinc credits and carries a precious metals stream with Osisko Gold Royalties, which shapes how GORO could fund its development.

#4. Exploration Reaching Well Past The Producing Vein Systems. Marena North, Splay 31, Isabel SE and the San Juan vein set are all named as follow up targets, meaning GORO has a queue of drill ready ground.

#5. A Metal Price Backdrop Analysts Expect To Hold Or Climb. With J.P. Morgan Global Research forecasting $6K per ounce gold by the end of 2026, revenue per ounce at GORO is set against a supportive price outlook.

#6. Reported Cash Of $46Mn Against No Outstanding Debt. A clean balance sheet gives GORO room to fund drilling and studies before any restart decision, a position the company details for shareholders.

In Summary

Companies rarely change shape this quickly.

In roughly eight weeks Goldgroup completed a merger, took a new listing, absorbed two additional assets, changed its Chief Executive Officer and put drills on three properties at once.

The market now has a set of concrete milestones to watch rather than promises: the San Francisco technical study, the balance of the 26,053 metre program, the Back Forty feasibility work and a permanent leadership appointment.

Mineral resources are not mineral reserves and none of the development scenarios are decisions yet.

Even so, a producer with cash, no debt and four owned properties in a record gold market is a name that earns a place on our watchlist.

We’re kicking-off coverage on Goldgroup Mining Inc. (NYSE American: GORO).

Updates will be coming soon. Stay tuned.

All the best,

August 31st

Dear Reader,

On August 14th, 2026, Goldgroup Mining Inc. (NYSE American: GORO) attached a figure to its plans in Sonora: a 26,053 metre diamond drill program at the San Francisco project, expected to finish in the fourth quarter.

It is the first significant drilling campaign at the property in many years, and it is running beside a technical study of restart scenarios.

San Francisco is not a prospect. It is a mine that stopped.

Goldgroup acquired it outright in June 2026 by purchasing Molimentales del Noroeste, taking 33,667 hectares of concessions, two former open pits, 16,875 tonnes per day of installed crushing and twin gold recovery plants.

An independent resource estimate with an effective date of April 30th, 2026 carries 1.23Mn ounces of measured and indicated gold at 0.36 grams per tonne, with a further 178,000 inferred ounces.

Beyond the stated resource sits El Llano, a conceptual target of 40 to 78Mn tonnes grading 0.38 to 0.61 grams per tonne gold, described by the company as insufficiently explored to be classed as a mineral resource.

A restart is targeted for 2027 at potential output of 50,000 to 60,000 ounces of gold equivalent a year. No production decision has been made.

The company reached this point by merger. Goldgroup and Gold Resource Corporation closed a business combination on July 17th, 2026.

Gold Resource left the NYSE American; Goldgroup took the GORO symbol, and its TSX Venture listing changed from GGA to GORO days afterward.

Company Breakdown: Goldgroup Mining Inc. (NYSE American: GORO)

Goldgroup operates as a mining and metals company that focuses on gold production and exploration. Two mines carry current output.

Cerro Prieto is a shallow open pit heap leach on a roughly 4,335 hectare property in Sonora, producing gold and silver dorΓ© through two crushing circuits and an adsorption desorption recovery plant.

It has operated since 2013 near 11,500 ounces a year, and the company's in house 2026 estimate is 17,000 to 20,000 plus ounces.

Don David in Oaxaca is an underground operation on 55,000 hectares, mining epithermal veins across the Arista, Three Sisters and Switchback systems and trucking ore roughly two kilometres to the Aguila mill, where a 1,800 tonne per day flotation plant produces zinc, lead silver and copper gold concentrates.

Expected 2026 output is 37,000 to 52,000 ounces of gold equivalent.

San Francisco and the Back Forty volcanogenic massive sulphide project in Michigan form the development side.

From The Company Update

A July 23rd operations update laid out the pace.

Six underground rigs and one surface rig were working Don David, three rigs were on the San Francisco program, and three more were deployed at Cerro Prieto, two on resource expansion and one on confirmatory work.

A definitive feasibility study at Back Forty had begun in May under SLR Engineering.

Then Chief Executive Officer Allen Palmiere summarized it as follows: "Our integration is progressing well, and we are hitting the ground running."

Four days later he stepped down, with chair Javier Reyes taking the role on an interim basis and Palmiere staying on as an advisor.

What The Drills Returned

On August 17th the company reported 25,726 metres across 123 holes at Don David over the seven months to July 31st, split between 16,249 metres of infill, 8,794 metres of expansion and 683 metres of ore control drilling.

Hole 525086 on the Sadie 1 vein cut 1.92 metres of estimated true width grading 13.49 grams per tonne gold and 931 grams per tonne silver.

At Alta Gracia, hole 426014 returned 2.55 metres at 1.66 grams per tonne gold and 1,695 grams per tonne silver.

Reyes put the purpose in one line: the aim "isn't simply to replace what we mine, but also to continue discovering and defining mineralization with the potential to extend mine life, grow our resource base and create long-term shareholder value. We believe we're only beginning to unlock Don David's full potential."

6 Key Potential Catalysts Send (NYSE American: GORO) To The Top Of Our Watchlist

#1. All Thirteen Barchart Technical Indicators Are Flashing Bullish. Barchart currently shows a 100% bullish opinion on GORO across short, medium and long term indicators, with its composite “Trend Seeker” indicator triggered, too.

#2. A Producing Base That Funds The Drilling Itself. Two operating mines generated output through the first half of 2026, letting GORO advance multi asset drill programs without depending solely on outside capital.

#3. Silver Credits Running Into Four Figure Grades Underground. Intercepts of 1,695 and 1,309 grams per tonne silver came out of the August drill release, a reminder that GORO is not a single metal story.

#4. Installed Capacity At San Francisco Of 16,875 Tonnes Per Day. Crushing circuits, twin recovery plants and haul roads are already on the ground, which shortens what GORO would need to rebuild before restarting.

#5. A Named Backer Holding Roughly Ten Percent Fully Diluted. Eric Sprott reported 10,084,746 shares and 3,963,063 warrants after the arrangement, about 10.1% of GORO on a partially diluted basis. See the filing summary.

#6. A Permanent Chief Executive Officer Search Still In Progress. The board named an interim leader on July 27th and began a formal search, meaning GORO has a governance decision ahead that market watchers can track in real time.

Final Thoughts

Goldgroup Mining Inc. (NYSE American: GORO) is not asking anyone to imagine a mine.

Two are running, a third is standing with its plants intact while drills define what is left in the ground, and a fourth is moving through feasibility work in Michigan.

The questions ahead are specific and answerable: what the 26,053 metres return, what the technical study concludes, and who takes the Chief Executive chair.

Mineral resources are not mineral reserves, and a restart decision made without established reserves carries higher technical and economic risk, as the company itself states.

For readers who track producers with development assets attached, GORO is a name worth keeping on the list and reviewing at the source.
