Since 2000, the S&P 500 has finished September higher roughly half the time and lower the other half. |
Even midterm election years offered no clear answer. In September 2022, the S&P 500 plunged 9.3%. But in September 2010, it rallied 8.8%. |
Same type of year. Completely different outcome. |
That’s a pretty good reminder that when it comes to the market, anything can happen. |
