We're Putting (USAU) At The Top Of Friday Morning’s Watchlist—Here’s Why

Dear Reader,

What if America's next major gold and copper mine was already fully permitted, had a freshly completed Feasibility Study delivering a $632M after-tax net present value, and sat just 20 miles from a state capital with all infrastructure already in place?

That's precisely the situation at U.S. Gold Corp. (NASDAQ: USAU), which on March 31, 2026, published one of the most comprehensive development packages to emerge from a U.S.-based precious metals company in years.

With permits secured, engineering completed, and financing discussions now underway, (USAU) is a name deserving a serious look right now.

But keep in mind, (USAU) has less than 14M shares listed as available to the public. When companies have small floats like this, the potential exists for big moves if demand begins to shift.

Which is exactly why (USAU) will be topping our watchlist tomorrow morning—Friday, May 1, 2026.

And we’re not the only ones watching (USAU).

(USAU) carries active coverage from several analysts and institutional firms, including:

Joseph Reagor from Roth MKM has a $22 target on (USAU) which suggests over 30% upside potential from this week's $15.93 range.

Jake Sekelsky from Alliance Global Partners has a $27 target on (USAU) which suggests over 60% upside potential.

Heiko Ihle from H.C. Wainwright has a $27.50 target on (USAU) which suggests over 70% upside potential.

Over the last month, (USAU) has made an approximate 28% move, from around $13.89 on April 7 to $17.89 on April 17.

(USAU) is currently trending above or near several key technical levels, including its 5, 20, and 50 day moving averages, according to Barchart.

With that combination of analyst attention, recent momentum, technical positioning, and a small public float, (USAU) is lining up as a name that will have our focus heading into tomorrow morning’s session.

Now let’s look at the company and the project driving the story.

Company Overview

U.S. Gold Corp. (NASDAQ: USAU) is a U.S.-focused gold and copper exploration and development company with a portfolio spanning Wyoming, Nevada, and Idaho.

Its flagship asset, the CK Gold Project, sits in Laramie County, southeastern Wyoming — approximately 20 miles west of Cheyenne, two miles off a paved state road, and within a 1.5-hour drive of Denver International Airport, with direct access to major highway and rail infrastructure.

Beyond CK, USAU holds the Keystone exploration property on Nevada's prolific Cortez Trend — positioned 11 miles south of Nevada Gold Mines' Cortez Complex, the second-largest gold producer in Nevada — as well as the Challis Gold Project in Idaho's historic mining district.

The company is led by George Bee, President & CEO, who previously served as Senior VP at Barrick Gold and held roles at Rio Tinto and Anglo American across eight countries.

CFO Eric Alexander brings over 35 years of business experience, including 20 years in mining.

As of March 1, 2026, USAU has approximately 16.5M shares outstanding and $36.1M in cash.

A Fully Permitted, Shovel-Ready Asset

On March 31, 2026, USAU announced the results of its completed Feasibility Study, prepared by independent firm Halyard-Micon International.

The study confirmed an after-tax NPV5% of $632M and a 27% after-tax IRR at base case metal prices of $3,250/oz gold, $4.50/lb copper, and $40/oz silver.

At recent spot prices near $4,500/oz gold, those figures rise to an after-tax NPV of $1.30B and a 45% IRR, with payback compressing from 2.5 years to just 1.6 years.

The 11-year mine plan encompasses 1.015M oz of contained gold, 260M lbs of contained copper, and 3M oz of contained silver — totaling 1.598M AuEq oz in proven and probable reserves.

Average life-of-mine production is projected at 85,000 oz AuEq per year, rising to 102,000 oz AuEq annually during higher-grade Years 2 through 8.

The all-in sustaining cost (AISC) is $1,785/oz AuEq, supporting strong margins at current prices.

Total initial capital is estimated at $394M (including $47M contingency), with sustaining capital of just $35M over the mine life.

Average after-tax free cash flow during Years 2 through 8 is projected at $160M per year, with life-of-mine total net free cash flow of $967M.

Fully Permitted — No Federal Hurdles

CK is one of the few large-scale precious metals projects in the U.S. at the Feasibility Study level with all required permits already in hand.

The Mine Operating Permit was approved in April 2024, followed by water discharge, air quality, and reclamation bond acceptances through late 2024.

A $5M reclamation bond is already posted.

CK sits entirely on State of Wyoming land — meaning no federal regulatory involvement — and construction activities were initiated in January 2026.

Expansion Upside Beyond the FS

The current mine plan was deliberately designed to avoid crossing a dry drainage channel, leaving substantial measured and indicated resources outside the reserve pit.

The deposit remains open at depth below 800 feet and along approximately 2,900 feet of untested strike length.

Waste rock has also been assessed as high-quality aggregate and rail ballast, with market studies indicating up to 1M tons per year of off-take potential — a revenue stream not currently reflected in the published FS economics.

7 Reasons Why (USAU) Will Be Topping Our Watchlist Tomorrow Morning—Friday, May 1, 2026…

1. Small Float: with less than 14M shares listed as available to the public, (USAU)’s small float could witness the potential for big moves if demand begins to swing.

4. Technical Levels: according to Barchart, (USAU) is trending above or near its 5, 20, and 50 day moving averages.

5. Permits Secured: with its Mine Operating Permit approved and other key acceptances completed, (USAU) has a CK Gold Project that is described as fully permitted.

6. Feasibility Completed: following a completed Feasibility Study showing a $632M after-tax NPV5% base case, (USAU) has a detailed development package available for review.

As the week comes to a close, a few key factors are beginning to align around (USAU) that are worth a closer look.

From a structural standpoint, the relatively small public float means shifts in attention can have an amplified effect.

Layer onto that the recent momentum—an approximate 28% move in under two weeks—and it becomes clear why (USAU) has started to move onto more screens.

There’s also growing visibility from outside firms, with multiple analyst targets ranging from $22 to $27.50, suggesting between 30% to 70% upside potential based on current levels.

At the same time, the chart is showing strength, with (USAU) holding above or near several widely followed moving averages.

Beyond the market dynamics, the underlying project adds another layer of context. The CK Gold Project is already permitted, with key approvals in place and construction activities underway.

A completed Feasibility Study outlines a $632M after-tax NPV5% base case, giving a detailed look at the economics behind the asset.

And when you factor in location—just 20 miles west of Cheyenne with direct access to major infrastructure—it paints a picture of a project that is not only defined on paper, but positioned in a practical setting.

Put it all together, and (USAU) becomes a name that stands at the intersection of recent momentum, structural dynamics, and a clearly outlined development profile.
