A Message from Miso Robotics
Dear Reader,

We all see robots flipping on social media. But a french-fry robot named Flippy that collaborates with NVIDIA? That doesn’t make sense.
Miso Robotics has heard it all before.
But ask restaurant operators in the $1T fast-food industry like White Castle that deploy Miso’s Flippy Fry Station robot, and it sure makes a lot more sense.
Flippy FLIPS restaurant operator’s bottom lines, helping boost a location’s profits up to 4X.
And with Miso having a $4B/year US revenue opportunity for just the fry station alone, these french fries are way beyond small potatoes.
This year is when Flippy is really leaving its mark.
After Miso acquired two major new product assets, Flippy has become the star of a rapidly expanding ecosystem. Customers think of what Miso is building as a new operating system for modern restaurants.
And Miso just added big-name customers like Jersey Mike’s and Cinnabon…and grew its patent portfolio by ~10X to 300+. On top of that, they even started entering college campuses, NBA arenas, and a new national burger chain.
Now, Miso’s introducing new NVIDIA 3D-vision tech. With it, Flippy will unlock real-time contextual awareness, improving safety, efficiency, and more.
Combined with years of proprietary data, that’s a formidable moat.
Everyday people just like you have already invested more than 44k times in Miso.
This is your chance to claim your own stake in the robot boom.

The Real Reason Caterpillar Dropped 9% in a Single Day
On Thursday, Oct. 29, shares of Caterpillar fell 9.25%, closing at $647.39 versus $713.38 on Wednesday, Oct. 28. The drop came on the day the company reported a 17% jump in quarterly sales and what it called a record backlog of orders.
What Caterpillar Reported
In its third-quarter release, Caterpillar posted sales and revenues of $20.68 billion, up from $17.64 billion a year earlier. Adjusted profit per share (which leaves out restructuring costs) was $7.20, up from $4.95. The operating margin was 20.4%, compared with 17.3% a year earlier.
Why the Stock Fell
Sales came in light. MarketWatch reported that revenue fell short of the $20.76 billion consensus of analysts compiled by FactSet (as cited on Oct. 29), ending a five-quarter streak of beats. Adjusted earnings of $7.20 topped the $7.06 expected.
The miss came from Construction Industries, which posted $7.98 billion against $8.12 billion expected. Power and Energy, the unit tied to data-center demand, brought in $8.78 billion against $8.22 billion expected.
Trefis pointed to the outlook. Management expects moderate sales growth in the fourth quarter versus a year earlier, with Construction Industries about flat and Power and Energy facing a tough comparison. Trefis, citing news reports, said the stock had been priced for a raise.
The shares were already weak. Through Oct. 28, they had fallen 33% from a record close of $1,064.90 on June 30, as worries grew that the AI build-out was slowing. Yahoo Finance also noted that the drop came alongside declines in other AI-related stocks.
Bull View and Bear View
The bull view: Profit grew faster than sales, power-generation sales rose 30% to $3.42 billion, and management pointed to strong order rates and a record backlog. A stock that had already fallen a third may have been pricing in a slowdown.
The bear view: Sales missed, and the fourth-quarter outlook sounds modest. The quarter's operating profit also included $128 million of tariff recoveries, a boost not tied to selling more equipment. A stock tied to AI spending can keep falling if that theme stays out of favor.
As of Nov. 3, Caterpillar's SEC filings did not list a date for its fourth-quarter report.
What It Means for You
A company can beat on profit and still fall hard. Prices reflect what investors expected, and a small miss against a high bar can matter more than a big gain from a year ago.
One day's drop says little about the business itself. It does show how fast sentiment can turn on a stock linked to a popular theme.
The risk runs both ways. A theme that lifts a stock can pull it down just as quickly, and a portfolio packed with similar bets can fall together.
