Friends, |
For more than a decade, you’ve watched me stay in the game when everyone else ran for the exits. |
The 2018 Crypto Winter. The China mining crackdown. The FTX collapse. |
I never walked away. |
So when I tell you I’m walking away from an important sector of the crypto market now… |
With bitcoin wound this tight… |
I need you to hear the reason from me. Not secondhand. |
Wednesday night at 8 pm ET, I’ll show you exactly what I’m walking away from, who changed my mind, and why I believe this decision could put you in position for some of the fastest gains we’ve seen in crypto. |

The Fed Gave Bitcoin Another Test |
In 2016, people thought I had lost my mind. |
I wanted to tell my readers to buy bitcoin at around $400-and-change. |
My publisher threatened to fire me if I ran the research. |
I ran it anyway. |
At the time, that reaction made sense to a lot of people. Bitcoin was still something most investors dismissed as a fad, a scam or a hobby for computer geeks. |
I saw something different. |
And I was willing to look crazy because I believed the evidence in front of me mattered more than what everybody else thought. |
Since then, bitcoin has traded as high as roughly $126,000. From around $430, that was a peak gain of more than 29,000%. |
And bitcoin has grown into one of the largest assets on the planet, with a market value of roughly $1.55 trillion today — bigger than Berkshire Hathaway and right alongside Tesla and Meta. |
Now, more than 10 years later, some people are going to think I have lost my mind again. |
This time, it’s because I’m quitting an important sector of the crypto market I’ve personally traded for years. |
I know how strange that sounds coming from me. |
So before I tell you why I’m doing it, I want to show you what has been happening in bitcoin. |
Once you see it, you’ll understand why I started looking at this market differently. |
Last Wednesday, the Federal Reserve made its latest interest-rate decision. |
The Fed held rates steady. |
That’s exactly the kind of event that can send money racing in and out of risk assets in a matter of minutes. And bitcoin has a history of reacting harder than usual when the Fed speaks. |
My research team went back through 55 Fed decisions since 2020. On those decision days, bitcoin’s average absolute move was 2.8%. On an ordinary day, it was 2.1%. |
In other words, bitcoin moved about one-third more on Fed decision days. |
The first hour after the Fed announcement has been even more dramatic. Bitcoin’s move during that hour has been roughly twice what we see during a typical hour. |
So these meetings can create a short burst of opportunity — and a short burst of danger. |
But this is where the research gets more interesting. |
The burst usually doesn’t last. |
Once you remove the decision-day spike, bitcoin has often gone right back into the same compressed trading range it was in before the announcement. |
And for the past week, I’ve been showing you just how tightly bitcoin has been wound. |
The Market Is Telling Us Something |
A few days ago, I showed you that one widely followed measure of bitcoin volatility had fallen to one of its tightest readings in two and a half years. |
Then on Friday, I showed you another pattern: after the last three midterm elections with a mature bitcoin market, volatility jumped sharply in the weeks that followed. |
And before the week was over, we got another reminder of how quickly things can change. |
The biggest crypto hack on record hit Binance and sent bitcoin lower. |
But the headline wasn’t the most interesting part to me. It was bitcoin’s reaction. The market absorbed the blow far better than it did during some of the exchange crises earlier in its history. |
That resilience told me more about the strength of bitcoin than the hack itself. |
Now add the Fed research. |
Even in this calmer, more mature bitcoin market, major events can still produce sudden bursts of short-term volatility. Then the market can tighten right back up again. |
I can’t read the tea leaves and tell you whether bitcoin’s next major price move will be higher or lower. |
But after nearly a decade in this market, I know what I don’t want to do: wait until everybody else sees the move and then start chasing it. |
My job is to get you ahead of the move, before the crowd realizes what’s happening. |
He Asked a Different Question |
For years, when a Fed meeting or another major headline hit the market, I would naturally ask: What’s this going to do to bitcoin? |
Then I brought someone new onto my research team. |
I brought him in because I wanted another set of eyes on crypto. I didn’t expect him to change the way I thought about these moments. |
But he did. |
He spends less time trying to predict what a headline — a Fed decision, the Binance hack, whatever it may be — will do, and more time watching how the market actually reacts when it hits. |
That may sound like a small difference. |
Friends, it’s not. |
Let me repeat that because I don’t want you to miss it: The opportunity is often in the reaction. |
When volatility explodes for an hour and then disappears again, the person who knows what to look for in that window can see something the rest of the market misses. |
I’ve spent months watching him work — studying these setups, managing risk, and making decisions while the market is moving fast. |
The more I watched, the harder it became to ignore what I was seeing. |
And eventually I had to ask myself a difficult question: If someone on my team can do this better, and put you in a stronger position to make money, why would I keep doing it myself just because that’s the way I’ve always done it? |
I’m Willing to Look Crazy Again |
Ten years ago, I was willing to look crazy because I believed the crowd was wrong about bitcoin. |
I am willing to look crazy again for the same reason. |
My job is to put you in the best possible position to make money in this market. If that means changing the way I’ve done things for years, I’m going to make that change. |
That’s why I’m walking away from part of the crypto market. |
I’m not walking away because volatility scares me. I have lived through 80% bear markets, exchange failures, and some of the ugliest selloffs this market has ever seen. |
I am walking away because I have found a better way to serve you in this part of the crypto market – one that can help you spot the opportunity earlier and put you in position to consistently rip double- and triple-digit gains when the next big move comes. |
On Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET, I’m going to show you exactly what I mean. |
I’ll explain why I’m walking away, who changed my mind, and why something I’m seeing in bitcoin right now could put you in position for enormous profits. |
The special broadcast is called Big T’s Big Announcement. You can reserve your seat right here. |
Once you hear the numbers… Once you see the facts I’m going to put on the screen… You’ll understand exactly why I made this decision. |
In fact, you may end up thanking me for it. |
Because this change could put you in position to make some of the fastest profits we’ve ever seen in crypto. |
