Last week, U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth delivered a sobering message to the American public.
“China is building an army specifically designed to destroy the U.S.” Hegseth said.
He pointed out that much of America’s power projection comes from its Navy — specifically, our fleet of aircraft carriers.
Unfortunately for us, though, China could take out almost all of those assets with hypersonic missiles in just the first 20 minutes of a conflict.
Worse, Hegseth said that the United States “loses to China in every war game” run by the Pentagon.
This is a situation we’ve all (more or less) known about and dreaded for years.
At the very least, China has caught up to the United States militarily — and at worst, surpassed it.
Key to this advance has been China’s navy, which it’s expanded at an exorbitant rate.
China’s Dragon Fleet
China now has the world’s largest navy, with more than 400 ships. The United States, meanwhile, has just 296 warships.
Worse, China continues to add vessels, while America watches its fleet slowly dwindle.
The U.S. Navy commissioned six new ships last year, but 15 others were decommissioned. So, in effect, we actually lost nine.
And the current budget plan aims to decommission 19 vessels, replacing them with just six new ships — a net loss of 13.
All this while China is ramping up production.

Raw numbers of ships are impactful. However, America’s warships are still far more technologically advanced and capable than China’s. And that matters too.
That technological advantage helps mitigate the disparity in numbers.
Specifically, the United States has 11 supercarriers.
China has just three active aircraft carriers. One is a refurbished Cold War-era Russian vessel, the second is the country’s first homebuilt effort launched in 2017, and the third a more modern vessel that debuted in 2021.
But again, China is closing the gap.
Recent satellite imagery uncovered China’s ongoing effort to build a massive, nuclear-powered aircraft carrier that would rival the biggest vessel in the American fleet
The images hint at an entirely new ship design — one unlike anything the country has previously built and on par with America’s most advanced carriers.
And China isn’t building just one — or even two.
The satellite imagery suggests China is gearing up to produce an untold number of vessels to challenge U.S. dominance in the Pacific.
And that’s exactly what it’s doing.
Of course, there’s one thing China didn’t count on…
Donald Trump.

President Trump has pledged to raise U.S. defense spending to $1 trillion in a bid to corral our top global adversary.
Like I said, America’s biggest advantage in this fight is its technology — which far surpasses that of China.
No matter what the mainstream media say, America’s defense companies and Silicon Valley incubators are more competitive, more innovative, and more lethal than any of their foreign competitors.
And it’s not even close.
That’s why China works so hard to steal our technology and spy on the Pentagon.
It's constantly trying to catch up.
But Donald Trump isn’t going to let them.
He’s opening up the spigot of a massive tech defense initiative that’s going to keep America atop the global order — where it belongs.
We’re talking about autonomous drone swarms, iPad airstrikes, cyborg soldiers, robot wingmen, impenetrable missile shields…
All the things you see in sci-fi movies but in real life.
And the companies behind these endeavors are already raking in piles of cash.
Now they’re set to make even more.
And I’ve got the best lineup of tech defense mavens right here in my latest report.
This is Donald Trump’s AI Victory Plan.
Fight on,

Jason Simpkins
