Nick O'Connor | 24 May 2020 Through the looking glass   Dear Reader, On 20th May, for the first time in history, negative returns on British government bonds are being sold. That means that investors are now paying the state to lend them money. If you were in any doubt that we are living through an environment that is unlike anything UK investors have ever dealt with before…I hope this is evidence enough. As Tim Price would say, this is truly “Investing through the looking glass”. Anyway… I’ve outlined some potential steps you can take here to help preserve a small portion of your wealth from what is becoming an ever more uncertain future.
