Guilty - just by being there

Nick O'Connor | 23 May 2020 Kettling your cash: a warning  Dear Reader,   At best, it sounds unfair…   At worst, like something out of a police state.   But it’s totally legal…   And should be avoided at all costs, as I’ll show you.   ‘Kettling’ is actually a tactic used for crowd control.   It’s a tactic that can impinge on your liberty and freedom of movement.   You see once you’re in a ‘kettle’, you may be held against your will… as one poor office worker (who I shall simply refer to as X) discovered to her cost, 19 years ago this month.   It was 2.10pm, on May 1st, 2001…   X was trying to return to work after her lunch break in the Oxford Street area of London but was prevented by a line of police officers blocking the road. She turned and tried to pass in another direction… but found that that exit was also now blocked by police officers.   She repeatedly requested to be allowed to leave the cordoned area but was told by the policemen she approached that they were under orders to allow no one to pass.   You see, on that same day, more than 1,500 people had also gathered in London to take part in anti-globalisation protests. The event was called Mayday Monopoly, with targets for protest chosen from streets in the famous board game.   Now I want to emphasise that X had no connection with the demonstration.   Yet she was held within the cordon at Oxford Circus until 9.35pm…   Trapped for seven hours behind the police cordon – with no access to food, water, or toilet facilities.   She and three others even tried to bring a case to the European Court of Human Rights… but the court concluded that there had in fact been no deprivation of liberty.   I mention this because there is a UK law on the statute books right now…   That, in an extreme emergency, could effectively ‘kettle’ a portion of the cash in your bank.   And if you haven’t taken any steps to protect it…    THERE WOULD BE NOTHING YOU COULD DO ABOUT IT.   To find out what this law is and six steps you should consider taking to protect a small portion of your wealth right now… Please follow this link immediately.   You do not want some of your wealth to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.   Best,   Kit Winder Editor, Southbank Investment Research
