Dear Fellow Investor,
There’s Still Time to Buy These Flying Car Stocks
Back in late October, we told you to keep an eye on flying car stocks.
At the time, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) had just issued long-awaited rules on how electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) air taxis can be operated and certified. These new regulations filled in the final regulatory gap, effectively unlocking the door for commercial eVTOL operations in the U.S.
And with that, the race for the skies was officially on.
“The FAA will continue to prioritize the safety of our system as we work to seamlessly integrate innovative technology and operations,” said Mike Whitaker, FAA Administrator. “This final rule provides the necessary framework to allow powered lift aircraft to safely operate in our airspace.”
These changes weren’t just regulatory formalities—they were catalytic for the entire flying car industry.
We highlighted two early movers with serious potential: Joby Aviation (SYM: JOBY) and Archer Aviation (SYM: ACHR). Fast-forward to today, and both stocks have soared. But here's the kicker: the opportunity might just be getting started.

Company: Joby Aviation (SYM: JOBY)
When we first flagged Joby Aviation, shares were trading around $5.50. Since then, they’ve hit a high of $7.17, a 30%+ gain in just a few months.
And there are plenty of tailwinds that could send it much higher from here.
First, optimism continues to build around the idea of personal air mobility and short-distance air taxis. As more people imagine commuting over traffic in clean, quiet eVTOLs, investors are piling into companies like Joby that could turn this vision into reality.
Second, Joby recently posted better-than-expected earnings, a rarity for pre-revenue startups in this space.
-
EPS loss of 11 cents, beating estimates by 7 cents.
-
$813 million in cash and short-term investments at the end of the quarter.
-
An additional $500 million commitment from Toyota, one of Joby’s major strategic partners and investors.
That level of financial backing speaks volumes.
Founder and CEO JoeBen Bevirt put it plainly:
“With the US government leaning in on both the state and the federal level and the Joby team not just delivering, but accelerating, we are securing America’s leadership role in the adoption of this important new technology.”
Also worth noting: Joby is making progress on its air taxi launch timeline. The company expects to begin commercial operations in 2025, and it already has agreements in place with partners like Delta Airlines and the U.S. Department of Defense.
As the commercialization window approaches, expect more investors to jump aboard.

Company: Archer Aviation (SYM: ACHR)
Back in October, Archer Aviation was quietly trading around $3.15. Today, it’s flying high at $11.15, a jaw-dropping 250%+ gain.
While those gains are impressive, they don’t mean the rally is over.
Archer is gaining momentum both financially and strategically:
-
Net loss shrunk from $198.1 million in Q4 2024 to $93.4 million this quarter—a major step toward operational efficiency.
-
Cash balance soared to over $1 billion, up from $834.5 million last quarter, thanks to successful capital raises.
Archer’s improving financials are paired with bold expansion plans.
“This quarter, the team made strong progress across our civil and defense efforts as we continue to deepen our strategic partner relationships and prepare for commercialization in the UAE later this year,” said CEO Adam Goldstein.
That UAE launch is a big deal. While most eVTOL companies are laser-focused on U.S. markets, Archer is diversifying geographically, establishing a foothold in a region known for fast-paced infrastructure and transportation innovation.
The company's flagship aircraft, Midnight, is being prepped for piloted test flights this year, which puts Archer on the cusp of real-world validation.
Between defense contracts, global partnerships, and a surging cash balance, Archer has built a strong runway for future growth.
