What a wild ride for the markets today!

After the wave of panic selling subsided in the opening hour, the market has been trying to stage a comeback all afternoon.

I am not too optimistic about that.

This market can move on a dime, and you need to be ready to roll with the punches.

I've already banked a couple of trades in both directions on QQQ with our live group (you can join us here).

I won't take too much credit for that NUGT trade, though. I was down a lot on it yesterday, and I'm just back to break even now.

But, it shows you that the trends for oil and gold stocks are heating up, just like I have been telling you!

The other area I told you to watch were momentum stocks that are seeing upside volume spikes right now.

I highlighted ANIX for you this morning, as a great example of that.

It's not making anyone rich today, but it is certainly bucking the trend against the market as you can see…

Slow and steady all day long.

I'll bet the rest of the trades you have been making today haven't looked this good.

I shared it with you before the market opened, and sure enough, it has been slowly climbing all day long.

I would not be surprised to see it hit a new high for the day at this point.

You need to learn to follow the strong signals in the market. There are not many of them right now, but ANIX is one of the few showing great promise.

If you haven't been watching ANIX today, make sure you get it on your radar for the second half of the day.

Considering this rough market, ANIX is performing amazingly well.

I can only imagine how it would be doing today if the market was in rally mode?

If it can make a gain like this on a terrible market day, who knows where it will go from here?

Knowing how to spot these types of trends and then taking advantage of them is what trading is all about.
