Our newest trades are taking off right away, which is always nice. Here are updates on our current positions. Plus, let's give a shout out to our recent winners.
Before I jump into the updates, I wanted to say a huge congratulations to:
Michael S., who wrote in to say he made a profit of $375 on the ProShares UltraPro Short QQQ ETF (SQQQ).
Matthew K., who reported a 16% return on SQQQ and a 27% return on the Qualcomm (QCOM) puts in 10 days.
Mark M., who says he made a 37.1% profit on the QCOM puts and 12.6% on SQQQ.
Johnnie B., who closed out SQQQ for a profit of $287.92 and the QCOM puts for a profit of $1,093.32.
Jan W., who "locked in a 17.5% gain" on SQQQ, "including a call option I tacked on (for kicks!)"
Harry A., who made a 21.8% gain on 800 shares of SQQQ.
Lydia P., who says her profit from SQQQ was $335.95 and her profit from the QCOM puts was $538.96 in about one week.
Ken C., who wrote in to say he "made a tidy 15.6% on SQQQ."
Ted R., who reported results of 40.6% on QCOM puts and 14.3% on SQQQ shares. Ted said he also made nice profits buying calls on SQQQ too, plus a put option on Micron Technology (MU) after looking through TradeSmith for another similar trade. Awesome!
Happy to hear about these wins!
As far as our current positions are concerned, we just got into Restaurant Brands International (QSR), Leggett & Platt (LEG), and General Mills (GIS) on Friday – and we only added the ProShares UltraPro QQQ (TQQQ) call option yesterday. So, there's too not much to say about those trades. I should have more of an update on them next week after we've been in the position for a bit more time.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns on any of these positions, don't hesitate to send me a message at tradecycles@tradesmith.com so I can get back to you in the next mailbag issue.
