Former Arkansas quarterback Ryan Mallett, who went on to have a seven-year career in the NFL, died Tuesday in an apparent drowning at a Florida beach. The sheriff's office said first responders were called to a beach in Destin, Florida, around 2:12 p.m. local time, as a group of people swimming in the Gulf of Mexico near a sandbar struggled to make their way back to shore. One of the individuals, later identified as Mallett, was not breathing when he was pulled out of the water and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. |

Hot and humid weather shouldn't put a stop to your exercise routine. There are plenty of exercises you can do outdoors that are safe during hot weather, as long as you take it easy and stay hydrated. One of the best exercises for summer months is standup paddleboarding. This fun activity helps work your core while you try to maintain balance on the board and paddle. The paddling also gives you a great upper body and arm workout. And since you'll be paddling on the water, it will feel cooler, and perhaps you can even go for a swim at the end to cool off even more. Yoga is another great option for outdoor exercise when it's hot. This is because yoga isn't strenuous, so you won't break a sweat quite as much as you do with other exercises. So grab a mat and head outside to get your stretch on. What other types of exercise are great for hot weather? |

After encountering several difficulties over the years, Virgin Galactic is anticipated to advance this week with its maiden commercial trip, marking the company's return to space. Three crew members from the Italian Air Force and the National Research Council of Italy will conduct many "suborbital science experiments" during the 90-minute suborbital trip, which is scheduled for Thursday morning, the organization said in a press release. Four pilots and one astronaut from Virgin Galactic will also take part in the live-streamed voyage. The company announced in a Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing a week prior to the scheduled flight that it intended to raise funds by selling up to $400 million worth of stock. |

Expert Warns U.S. Pentagon: “New Panic is Coming”
A longtime Wall Street expert recently issued a public warning at the Harvard Club in Cambridge, Mass. “There’s a financial disaster coming to America in 2023,” he says. Professor Joel Litman has already shared his warning with 200 top institutions, the FBI, and the U.S. Pentagon, where he was invited to speak. “Few people realize this could actually happen on U.S. soil,” he says. “Or what a sizable impact it could have on your wealth, especially if you have large amounts of cash in the bank right now.”

In a cave in Indonesia, scientists found human-like skeletal remains in 2003. They discovered that the person, who was most likely female, had an unusually small head and was short-lived, standing only 3 feet, 6 inches tall. Researchers identified the person as Homo floresiensis, a tiny offshoot of Homo erectus, an extinct human progenitor, because of the individual's hobbit-like traits, which differed from those of known hominins. According to a new face estimate, this person, known as "the hobbit," may have had a similar appearance when she lived on the Indonesian island of Flores some 18,000 years ago. |
