| | Dear Money Morning Member,
In 2016, a report expedited by the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) estimated that a quarter of a hundred thousand American beneficiaries had been underpaid by $224 million due to errors in calculating claims.
And earlier this year, the OIG issued an audit report that revealed 9,224 people had been underpaid by the Social Security Administration.
According to an article published by The Gazette on Tuesday, the SSA is providing nationwide training to field officers to avoid these blunders.
And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there are even more Social Security shockers in store for you.
Even though the SSA has owned up to these mistakes, I'm sure they will not hunt you down to hand you a check - even if the money is rightfully yours.
The government openly admits that they won't make any house-calls
So it's entirely up to you to hold them accountable.
With up to $23,441 at stake for tens of thousands of Americans, I can't think of a reason why you'd want to hesitate.
Because if you're a victim, you could receive the money owed to you within five days.
But only if you know how to take action.

Sincerely,
Mike Ward Publisher, Money Morning
