Dear Reader,
Good morning.
This is Dylan Jovine with Behind the Markets.
Happy Friday.
Today is Friday, February 20th and today I've got something special to share with you.
It's an important interview I did that touches on something much bigger than any single stock, or even any single sector….
It touches on the future of America itself.

What we're watching right now is not just competition between companies.
It's competition between nations.
And it's happening everywhere — in the Arctic… in South America… in Taiwan… in the financial system… and increasingly, in artificial intelligence itself.
For decades, the United States enjoyed a kind of geographic protection. We were buffered by oceans. Our adversaries were far away. And the balance of power rested on something called "mutually assured destruction."
But that balance is shifting.
As Arctic ice melts, new military pathways are opening across the North Pole — dramatically shortening missile flight times between major powers. Russia is rebuilding military infrastructure in the region. China is partnering with them. And suddenly, geography that once protected us is becoming contested territory.
At the same time, China is extending its reach into our own hemisphere — places like Venezuela — not just for resources, but for strategic positioning. Because in any major conflict, the goal isn't just to win abroad. It's to force your opponent to divide their attention.
To fight on multiple fronts.
And nowhere are the stakes higher than Taiwan.
Taiwan produces the overwhelming majority of the world's most advanced semiconductors — the chips that power everything from smartphones… to AI systems… to modern weapons.
These chips have become the modern equivalent of oil.
Control them — and you control the future of technology.
Lose access to them — and entire economies grind to a halt.
That's why the United States is now racing to reshore semiconductor manufacturing — to bring production back within our own borders before it's too late.
At the same time, we're watching something else happen quietly in the background.
Countries around the world are reducing their dependence on the U.S. dollar… and increasing their holdings of gold.
Gold is rising. Stocks are rising. Hard assets are rising.
That's not normal.
That's a sign the measuring stick itself — the dollar — is being questioned.
And finally, we're entering a new phase of AI — one that moves beyond software and into the physical world.
Into drones.
Into robotics.
Into autonomous defense systems.
The battlefield of the future won't just be fought with soldiers.
It will be fought with machines.
All of this may sound dramatic.
But these kinds of shifts don't happen overnight.
They unfold slowly… then suddenly.
That's why I want you to see this interview.
Because understanding these forces isn't about fear.
It's about preparation.
It's about understanding where the world is going — so you can position yourself accordingly.
That's why we hosted a special live webinar yesterday where we discussed one of the biggest opportunities in the investing world right now. If you missed the webinar, watch the replay here.
Because in it, we go over one of the greatest bottlenecks the world is facing right now… and how the countries that solve it best can wield immense power over the future.
And investors who get in early enough can see life-changing gains.
Watch the replay here to get my top 3 picks.
Make sure you watch the interview above.
It will give you a much clearer picture of the forces shaping the next decade.
Have a wonderful day.
