How I Like to Spend My Time Between Trades Hey Trader,  Ahhh the weekend… There are few things better.  Especially here in sunny Florida...  This pic is from Honeymoon Island in Dunedin, just north of Clearwater and 20 minutes from my place.  I went body surfing, had some margaritas at Frenchy’s out on the Causeway, and then followed that up with a nice cigar.  You can usually find me somewhere along the Gulf Coast, on the lake fishing, or working in the garden or with my animals when the trading week comes to an end.  Heck, you can find me doing that stuff some midday during the week.  That’s because I’m only really actively trading the market open, and then usually the last hour or so before the closing bell — when the action is heavy and volume picks back up.  Now, I LOVE trading — it’s how I make my living to make all this possible. But I’m not the kind of person who can sit and stare at my monitors all day long… no chance.  For one, I get bored. And two, it’s just not healthy. You have to give your mind a break. Here’s my normal daily routine… The market opens at 9:30 a.m. ET and closing out winners on the pop. Then the minute orders start hitting my personal options scanner — BANG, I’m weeding out the good-to-great possibilities from the lower-probability plays, and putting on trades. Once things die down, I’m out doing whatever I want or need to that day, hitting Costco or whatever, then back before the close, looking for new orders… And any potential dip buys 👀 Oftentimes, a big order will come in while I was out, and they don’t always go the way the buyer expects… NOTHING is guaranteed in life or the stock market.   But if it looks like a high-probability play, then maybe I can get in on the cheap compared to what the whale paid 😎 If you want more information on my personal options scanner, just go here.   I’m constantly going live with hundreds of my fellow traders who can’t stop raving about the scanner.
