Authorities in South Carolina said that a drunk driver who was traveling well over the speed limit collided with the rear of a golf cart on a beach road and killed a bride who was leaving her wedding celebration. Around 10 p.m. on Friday on Folly Beach, Jamie Lee Komoroski struck a golf cart, according to data retrieved from her rental car, which showed she was traveling at 65 mph and only briefly applying the brakes. In the accident, Samantha Miller of Charlotte, North Carolina, perished. Miller had recently wed a few hours prior. Three others in the golf cart, including the groom, were injured. |

As supply chain concerns improve, new vehicle sales costs dropped below MSRP in March for the first time in over two years, albeit cars and trucks are still not cheap. A new car cost an average of $48,008 in March, $550 less than in February, according to Kelley Blue Book. Expect prices to continue falling, but don't hold your breath waiting for them to return to the $37,736 average they hit in March of 2020. Reasons for this include inflation, but also the fact that many car manufacturers have stopped producing their entry-level models in favor of higher-profit luxury variants. As a result of these reductions and those made by other manufacturers, there are now just three makes and models available at base pricing (not including delivery fees) that are less than $20,000.
