It's no secret that the U.S. and China relations have been deteriorating.

At the epicenter of the battle is the little island of Taiwan that sits 100 miles off China’s coast. It’s a critical ally to the U.S., and the rest of the world, as 92% of advanced microchips are made there. China claims the island as part of its territory and has pledged to take the island “by force if necessary.” It even threatened retaliatory action against any perceived moves by Taiwan to assert independence and build closer ties to the U.S. Please understand the gravity of this situation: If China were to take this island the entire global economy would come to a halt. The production of everything from cars, to phones, to medical machinery, to our military equipment would come to a screeching halt. We know this. China knows this.
