January 4, 2022: How to make money 2022 style — Sector Rotation & Smart Money
(What happened yesterday was a big shift)

The first week of a new year is all about what the big money thinks about the next 12 months.

Understanding what occurs during the first five trading days is important if your goal is to make money, because the big money is more often right than they are wrong.

Sector rotation in simple form is a repositioning of assets based on which sectors or industries they believe will benefit based on national and international policies.

At the end of the day, like yesterday, it's called diversification.

Opposite of December, XLY (consumer discretionary) and XLK (technology) took the lead over XLRE (real estate) and safe money harbor XLU (utilities). This is an important shift to keep our eyes on.

What alarmed me the most (well, maybe encouraged me), was the inability of RSP (equal weight S&P 500) to keep up with SPY (weighted S&P 500).

Another important move I noticed was that of IWM (small caps) and its position in strength right next to XLK and XLY.

I use this early view of 2022 to help me formulate a plan.

For example, here's a new stock that keeps showing up on some of my scans: WOLF. Does it mean this will be the next golden stock? I don't know. But it has my attention.

Here's the main thing that always has my attention:

Scanning stocks to make money.

That's the best way I know to get a feel for what the big money is doing.

To do this, I rely heavily on the expertise of others far more knowledgeable than I, using tools far more superior than what's freely available.

When I met Guy Cohen and learned about his tools and expertise… And most importantly that the largest hedge funds use his tools, I sat up straight with my eyes wide open.

It was impressive and made me money. Now it's part of my regular routine.

You can find out all about it here.

Sincerely,

Celeste Lindman
