Coming up first in the show will be the COP26 conference, where former governor of the Bank of England Mark Carney has re-emerged as a Green (sic) Vizier commanding some $130 trillion in financial firepower. One particular comment of his has an ominous quality: "We now have the essential plumbing in place to move climate change from the fringes to the forefront of finance so that every financial decision takes climate change into account" (emphasis mine) Those are bold words indeed, but what do they mean for investors?
