See How This Momentum Is Handing Out Winning Trades

This market is showing classic continued momentum that is not going to be easy to shake. The markets are rallying even as we hit record highs. It is easy to read the news and get rattled by the buzz around GameStop, AMC or some of the other so called “Reddit” stocks. The biggest risk is that you could lose sight of the broader momentum and miss the easy picks that keep handing out money.

The big headlines are dangerous. Not just because the fear of missing out can pull you into trades that are incredibly risky but also because you can miss out on the easy money that can be made by sticking to the tried and true methods that many traders have used to make a comfortable living from the markets for years. The current longer rally that started last spring, right after the crash hasn’t shifted momentum yet. (You could even argue that it has been going on even longer and the drop last March was just a pullback). There is no question that it is much easy to pick winners when you have clearly identified the trend and can spot the stocks that will benefit from movement in that direction.

Joe  Duffy uses a “Sign Post” indicator that alerts him to these types of trades. On Page 7 of his book “The Little Black Book of Momentum Secrets” he shows how he uses this indicator to recognize the stocks that are in favor of the current momentum. Then he also shows how to confirm this indicator is flashing a buy signal and when to get in. And, if that wasn’t enough, he goes on to show his other indicators that he uses to be one of those traders that makes a comfortable living, supporting his family, from the trades these tools provide.
