Dear Reader,   Take a look at this image.   Marco Langbroek via SatTrackBlog   When people first saw these strange lights in the night sky…   They thought it was an alien invasion…   But these aren't UFOs you're looking at…   This is part of an incredible new advancement in the world of 5G technology.    What you're looking at is part of Elon Musk's ambitious SpaceX project known as 'Starlink'.   The image shows a train of satellites orbiting the Earth — around 60 of them in total!   The Starlink satellites use laser technology to beam 5G internet to users literally anywhere on Earth — even the most remote 'dead zones'.    Once Starlink is fully operational, you could be in the middle of Antarctica — thousands of miles away from civilisation — and still have a superfast internet connection.   And that will happen soon, as SpaceX says it hopes to achieve "near global coverage of the populated world in 2021".   Forbes estimates it could be worth $30 billion for Musk's company.   And with money like that at stake, the world's richest billionaires aren't going to sit around and watch…   In July CNBC reported that Jeff Bezos had launched his own internet-service enterprise — a project called Kuiper — in a bid to overtake Musk in this extraordinary, modern-day space race.    Bezos was planning to invest $10 billion, and aiming to launch more than 3,000 satellites into orbit.   According to The Times in November, "Whoever wins … is likely to be hailed as a giant of technology, an inventor who will have changed the lives of humankind."   The race is on. But investors don't have to wait around until a victor emerges.    There are many more 5G companies that are already taking off.   Swedish telecoms company, Ericsson, were up 36% in 2020.   Qualcomm, a massive 5G chip maker, were up 107%.
