And since the Newton Battery is only made from steel and concrete, it poses ZERO fire or toxic chemical risks. Over time, the lithium in Tesla’s Megapack will degrade and require replacement... But the Newton Battery doesn’t degrade and lose power over time like lithium batteries — and it can hold energy practically forever without losing its "charge." And remember how the Megapack can power 362,354 homes? Well, the Saudis are using the Newton Battery to power as many as 4.5 million homes. The best part?
