Revealed: Tesla's "World Brain" gives machines minds of their own

Paolo Cabrelli | 02 Jul 2021 "World Brain" switches your home off while you're away  Dear Reader,   The year was 1898.   And despite the rain chucking down, crowds filled Madison Square Garden on a September afternoon for an electrical exhibition.   Here, inventors, innovators and hobbyists showcased their best work. But there's one inventor people were more excited about than anyone else.   His name?   Nikola Tesla.   Before he'd even arrived, whisperings circulated about what he might reveal. The crowds expected to be wowed – but not like this:   Upon arrival, Tesla produced a heavy, radio-controlled boat. It was steel and 4 feet in length. There were large batteries on board, as well as a propeller, rudder and running lights.   People watched in amazement as Tesla placed it on a pool of water. The boat glided, handsfree, across it.   Not only were the crowd speechless, they were convinced Tesla was moving it with his mind.    Tesla announced that the boat responded to different noises, which got the crowd hurling questions at it…   "What's the cube root of 64?!" one man yelled, to which the boat flashed its lights four times.   While the crowd were blown away, Tesla controlled the boat with a small control box sat beside the water.    This said, Tesla did prophesise that one day machines wouldn't need human brains to help them function at all.   Instead, they'd connect to other machines' brains and work together. This was Tesla's idea of a "World Brain".    Bloomberg claims the "World Brain" will "transform the way we live and work", and Bill Gates says it could become part of an industry that could be "worth 10 Microsofts."   And one tiny Berlin company is leading the charge in its production. Soon, some of the biggest names in tech could be on their doorstep.   You see, Google, Microsoft and Apple are all spending billions to back the "World Brain". It won't be long until this small company appears on their radar.   And, according to Qualcomm, the "World Brain" rollout is set to open the floodgates to an estimated $13.1 trillion in industry growth.   This, along with trillion-dollar companies backing the tech they're producing, creates the perfect storm for how early investors could profit handsomely.
