Hey there! As you probably know if you've kept up with me, earnings are starting this week. Wells Fargo (WFC) Bank of America (BAC) Citigroup (C) And then there's a bit of an outlier in Delta (DAL). An airline running ahead of schedule? It's a miracle! Jokes aside, something really interesting happened yesterday: The banks, especially Bank of America and Citigroup, sold off before earnings. To oversimplify things, there are only two things that can happen when a stock goes down: it can continue to sink, or it can turn around and climb. Today, I'll be looking to see if these companies break their downtrends because of positive earnings calls… Or if they head even lower when the reports are through. As always, if they head lower despite positive earnings news, you can bet we'll be looking at a potential trade.
