Podcast: a high street revival?
In today's Exponential Investor...- Blanked on WhatsApp
- A revival of epic proportions
- Green Tech Week

This week Kit sent me a message on WhatsApp. I didn't reply. Why? Well make sure to listen to this week's podcast to find out. We also take a look at something that's very dear to the heart of the British… the high street. There's something very British about the local high street. The collection of little self-run businesses, the butcher, the baker… the candlestick maker… But for many years they've been under threat. Under threat from e-commerce, under threat from rising rates, under threat for lower footfall… just always under threat. And it has changed how the high street looks. However, perhaps all is not lost. Perhaps through new technology we may be on the cusp of a high street revival. We may see the local businesses that have struggled on, thrive again. Wouldn't that be something! Also, next week we're "hijacking" Exponential Investor. We're rebranding (figuratively at least) to "Green Tech Week". We'll be looking in far more detail at the specifics around the green energy transition, new technologies that are coming our way and how you can think about the opportunities in this space. As part of that, we're also going to be releasing a new free report to you all about it. It's something we commissioned energy investment expert James Allen to put together for us. You can find the free report here. And you can access today's podcast here. Regards, Sam Volkering and Kit Winder Exponential InvestorYou may be interested in |

Yes, I was. I also still strongly believe that global finance shouldn't ever shut down. To restrict when and where people can utilise their money,…

Penalised for not believing in Jesus | I jump on to my email Monday morning. First email I see is from CurrencyFair. CurrencyFair is a fintech that's involved in currency exchange and remittance. I've used it in the past to move money from Australia to the UK and vice versa. In fairness to CurrencyFair, it's very good.…
