TIRED OF OFFICE POLITICS?
Image source: CNBC In a video posted to the White House's Twitter account, President Donad Trump condemned last week's violence at the Capitol, and spoke out against the social media censorship that followed. He did not mention the House vote for his impeachment, which occurred just hours before the video went live.
"I want to be very clear," he said. "I unequivocally condemn the violence that we saw last week. Violence and vandalism have absolutely no place in our country, and no place in our movement."
He continued: "No true supporter of mine could ever endorse political violence. NO true supporter of mine could ever disrespect law enforcement or our great American flag. No true supporter of mine could ever threaten or harass their fellow Americans."
YOU NEED TO PREPARE FOR THIS SECOND WAVE
BTC and other digital coins tanked on Monday. $150 billion was wiped from the market almost overnight. BTC, the largest digital currency, fell over 10% from a day earlier to $34,200.
Image source: Forbes Petco Health and Wellness Company Inc. (who you just know as Petco) announced yesterday that it issued 48 million shares at $18 per share in its initial public offering. The issue price was higher than the earlier marketed price range of $14 to $17.
This means that Petco is set to raise an estimated $864 million in the IPO and will list its shares on the Nasdaq under the symbol "WOOF."
The stock's trading commenced today.
Goldman Sachs Group Inc (NYSE: GS) and Bank of America Corp (NYSE: BAC) are the joint lead book-runners for the offering. The underwriters are entitled to a 30-day option for purchasing an additional 7.2 million shares.
DAILY MOTIVATION
While having a disciplined mind is essential, it's pointless if you can't stay motivated. As humans, we're creatures of comfort and ease. When faced with a challenge, we tend to lose focus and the drive to continue.
Thankfully, there are some time-tested methods for keeping yourself motivated, even amid the most challenging tasks.
Anytime you start to think your efforts are in vain, take a moment to sit down and chart your progress. You'll be surprised at how much you've accomplished. Update your list as you hit additional milestones.
And whenever you take on a new project, don't put all of your efforts into the beginning phase. You'll eventually burn out and get fed up. It's helpful to hold yourself back and pace yourself!
Finally, join an online group of like-minded people to help give you a boost of confidence when you feel like you're just spinning your wheels. That's especially helpful as most of us are stuck at home due to the pandemic.

SEEKING NEW HORIZONS
Image Source: Vintage Underwriters If you're on the hunt for a job, there are a few things you can do to make it more successful.
Sending outreach emails is a great way to break the ice and network virtually. As you're looking for a job, touch base with former colleagues, mentors, friends, family, and even contacts of your friends and family. Make sure you articulate what type of opportunity you are looking for and include your resume and cover letter when you're reaching out. You never know who could help open a door for you.
It's also important to ask those same contacts for advice, especially those in the career field you want to be in. Ask them for resume feedback and don't be afraid to ask them to serve as a reference as well. What are the other keys to a successful job search?
