TIRED OF OFFICE POLITICS?
Image source: Getty Images President Donald Trump on Tuesday shared how he felt about the unending Democrat campaign to have him impeached, saying the latest attempt "really [is] a continuation of the greatest witch hunt in politics...It's ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous."
"For [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi and [Senate Democratic leader] Chuck Schumer to continue on this path, I think it's causing tremendous danger to our country, and it's causing tremendous anger…As far as this is concerned, we want no violence, we want absolutely no violence."
He also spoke out against Big Tech's growing tyranny, and, later in the day, spoke to what happened in the Capitol last week.
"As I have consistently said throughout my administration, we believe in respecting America's history and traditions, not tearing them down. We believe in the rule of law, not violence or rioting. Now is the time for our nation to heal, and it's time for peace, for calm…"
What else did he have to say yesterday as he spoke to the media for the first time since the riot?
HAVE YOU SEEN THIS ELUSIVE STOCK THAT COULD MAKE YOU A FORTUNE?
Health IT adoption skyrocketed last year as hospitals, health systems, and patients increasingly relied on digital health technologies for care and delivery during the pandemic. This has set the stage for continued growth and innovation this year.
Here are the top ten health IT trends on CIOs' radar for this year, from telehealth to cybersecurity and big data. Image source: PYMNTS.com So, you're probably wondering why I keep calling BTC "digital currency" or only refer to it by its ticker symbol. Well, that's because using the full "official" name is sure to trigger spam guards in most email clients. But we all know what I'm really talking about, right?
Anyhow, we say some insane highs for that particular digital currency, but a lot of those highs have since evaporated. And if you bet too big (and lost) in addition to the insult of losing money, there's also the potential injury coming from the IRS.
The IRS is REALLY cracking down on your reporting obligation. In fact, on the 2020 income tax return front page, you're going to see a question asking all about your digital currency investments over the year.
But figuring out how your tax treatment will depend on your basis - which is the original investment you made.
MIDDAY MOTIVATION
In psychology, there are two types of motivation: intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation. By understanding the differences between these two motivational viewpoints, you'll better manage your efforts at getting stuff done!
Intrinsic motivation is engaging in an activity for its own sake. You enjoy the activity because it's fun or challenging, not because you'll get a reward or avoid punishment.
But extrinsic motivation refers to doing something not because you enjoy it but because you want to earn a reward or avoid punishment. It's the exact opposite of intrinsic motivation.
While extrinsic motivation tends to force us to do things we don't really want to do, it can often overlap with intrinsic motivation. For example, you could be studying math in college because you enjoy it, but you're not looking forward to the upcoming midterms. Nevertheless, you'll study so as to avoid a bad grade.
WORK SMARTER, NOT HARDER
Image Source: Inc If getting your office in shape is one of your New Year's resolutions, we have some hacks and tips that might help.
One hack that can help is by changing your mindset. Start each day with the goal of throwing out things you don't need or putting away things you do need to keep. A good rule of thumb is to try to purge or properly put away at least 10 different items a day. With this approach, your office will be clean in no time.
Developing a filing system for papers is also important. Papers that you intend to keep, but place on your desk, in random drawers, and who knows where else, can junk up an office space quickly. Get a neat file organizer, cabinet, or dedicate a desk drawer to your must have papers. What other tips can you use to declutter your office space?
