TIRED OF OFFICE POLITICS?
Image source: Getty Images Without Amazon's cloud support, the social media platform Parler is no longer online. The shutdown comes just days after Apple and Google made the decision not to host Parler in their app stores any longer.
"We are the world's last hope for free speech and free information," said Parler CEO John Matze. "What they are doing is unprecedented, unfounded and absolutely disgusting. They want to keep their monopoly over speech."
But just how long will Parler be offline?
"We will likely be down longer than expected," said Matze. "This is not due to software restrictions -- we have our software and everyone's data ready to go. Rather it's that Amazon's, Google's and Apple's statements to the press about dropping our access has caused most of our other vendors to drop their support for us as well."
So what, exactly, is next for free speech and for this app in particular?
THE INVESTMENT OF THE DECADE IS HERE
The decision-making process to pursue higher or new education is an exciting and stressful experience. Two-thirds of graduate degree holders say they felt regrets about their return to school. The effect of those regrets can have unfortunate consequences.
A graduate program can take anywhere from one to five years to complete depending on its structure. You will be forced to sacrifice a significant amount of time for family and personal pursuits. Costs of graduate education can pile up over time. You could potentially be put into debt for a program and career path you don't end up enjoying.

But it has seen a meteoric rise. That's because it's made itself the "safe space" for conservative-minded individuals who are tired of the censorship and fact-checking featured on other alternative sites.
So, Parler hit the stage, and that's where everyone has gone.
Until now, when - due to demands from all of its supply chain, from Apple to Google to Amazon, everyone is threatening to pull the app, shut down servers and anything else that they can think of.
But the reality is that Parler is probably just first in line for this effort. As the CEO said, "This can happen to anyone."
MIDDAY MOTIVATION
If you're feeling stuck, unfocused, and uninspired, you're probably looking for ways to increase motivation. When your motivation is at an all-time low, there are things you can do to transform stuckness into energy and motivation.
For many of us, the problem is that we get stuck in the 'getting ready' stage. We never actually get started or follow through with our plans to get anything done.
Thankfully, you can adopt some healthy habits that will boost your ability to self motivate your way through any slump or unproductive season.
BUSINESS SKILLS IN DEMAND
Image Source: Entrepreneur As business opportunities change, so do the skills entrepreneurs need to be successful. Currently, there are five skills in particular that every entrepreneur needs.
The ability to take risks and make them work is a skill that not many have, but it benefits those who do have it. With a volatile business environment due to the pandemic, taking risks will become a more common thing as people launch and grow their businesses. Always be prepared for things to not go quite as planned, but taking risks can be the best way to boost your business.
Another skill needed is persuasion. Being persuasive can help in negotiating and sales - both of which are critical to the success of entrepreneurial endeavors. Being persuasive can also help people buy into your dream and vision for the company - including business partners, investors, and future employees. What are the other three skills entrepreneurs need?
