Some pollsters have Biden with a comfortable nine-point lead over Trump in both states. But let's not forget what happened in 2016. If you visit both states and talk with residents, it's clear that support for Trump isn't reflected in national polling. And that's a lesson that pollsters still haven't learned over the last four years. There's very little evidence of support for the Democratic ticket in the battleground state, but plenty of evidence that people are voting for President Trump. And it shouldn't surprise anyone who pays attention. These are areas where the term Reagan Democrat sprung up. While many of the voters in these states are Democratic, they aren't blindly loyal to the party. If this trend is playing out in other key states, election day could be difficult for Biden and Harris.
