CASEY DAILY DISPATCH - Casey Research

Hey guys, Dave here, and welcome to Path to Profits.

There’s a lot of exciting stuff going on in geotech, strategic materials, finance, and the companies that drive those trends…

You see, no one covers this space like we do. So every week, I’ll highlight the top hotspots gaining momentum in the media.

It’s how we find our best money-making opportunities, just ripe for big gains.

Check out this week’s top hotspots below to find out which trends are gaining traction…

This Week's Top Hotspots

➤ The world’s top uranium miner is… buying uranium.
Kazakhstan’s Kazatomprom purchased yellowcake on the spot market after running low, executives said on a conference call. The miner’s inventories have dropped because of production cuts due to low prices. Executives also said interest from nuclear powers buyers is growing.

➤ Oil companies are turning natural gas into Bitcoin.
Arcane Research reported that Norway’s Equinor plans to build crypto mining computers next to its oil wells in North Dakota. New technology – backed by famed crypto investors the Winklevoss twins – will convert waste gas from the wells into electricity for power and cooling.

➤ You can now track prices for “battery nickel.”
Metals specialist Benchmark Mineral Intelligence said it will start reporting prices for “mixed hydroxide precipitate” – a key type of nickel used in EV batteries. Battery makers reportedly asked for the new price because of concerns over supply security.

➤ Colombia became the first country to take profits on gold.
The nation’s central bank sold two-thirds of its gold holdings in June, according to Bloomberg. Gold rose to an average of $1,736 per ounce that month. Since Colombia sold, it’s moved as high as $2,075.

➤ Saskatchewan will build North America’s first rare earths plant.
The Canadian province announced $31 million in funding for a facility to produce the sought-after metals. Rare earths development in America has been hampered by a lack of such processing plants. Construction is expected to be completed by 2022.
