Homepage Portfolio FAQ Ultimate Income Earned $1,423 of Instant Income Last Month: We're Already Up to $3,505 Year to Date! It's the last trading day of March, which also ends the first quarter of 2024. And what a month and quarter it has been. The S&P 500 Index is up 3% this month so far and on track for 10% gains in the first quarter. That's why it's no surprise money managers have been scrambling to catch up lately: Quarter-end portfolio window-dressing is a time-honored tradition on Wall Street. Every self-respecting manager wants to end the quarter with at least some of the hottest stocks in their portfolio. And with performance this strong, the pros have a lot of catching-up to do. As for our Ultimate Income program, we're ending March with another strong cash-grab of $1,423 in option income earned from selling calls and puts plus traditional dividends from our stock holdings. That brings our year-to-date instant income total to $3,505 so far in 2024. And since Ultimate Income launch in 2022, members have now earned a grand total of $18,575! A brief programming note that markets are closed tomorrow for Good Friday, which means option expiration comes today instead. And we have just one option up for expiration: Our Coca-Cola (KO) March 28, 2024, $60 covered call options expire at the close today. As it stands right now, KO is in the money by just over a dollar, which means we're likely to have shares called away. While I see KO as an iconic, high-quality stock to own long term, it's also been stuck in our TradeSmith Health indicator's Red Zone since it hit the VQ stop late last year. So, we will let KO go for now, look to reinvest in new opportunities, and may even revisit KO on any pullback, just as we have with Nike (NKE). Stay tuned.
