The best questions to ask yourself right now.

And what you should know that is not making headlines.

On the last trading day of November…

  • The S&P closed above its 200-day moving average, just like that.
  • WDAY popped 3.3% on better than expected EPS, inline revenues, raised guidance and an opportunity to buy back up to $500M shares because they are believed "undervalued".
  • And the ETF that tracks Chinese equities available to international investors (MCHI) broke out of its long term trend – when there was "blood in the streets"!

Is it time to dance around the Christmas Tree? Probably not in my opinion, but…

The best question I've ever asked myself is, "Where am I wrong?"

At this point I'm asking, "Is there a case for October being the bottom?" Well…

  • Yes, I believe volatility is in store for December.
  • Yes, I believe a pull back is technically due — and a healthy one at that.
  • Yes, I believe January will continue the volatility

with an added twist of fear.

Still, some really good companies put bottoms in this past May, June, and July.

Nobody really talks about them (for a variety of reasons.. one of them being "Risk"). But…

They've shown up on my scans.

I've looked under the hood. And I've made money on them… like GE.

Did you see what their insiders did in May?

I'm wondering… Will more good companies record October as their bottom?

Asking questions really helps my trading.

I ask questions of shoppers and Uber car drivers. One Uber driver was a millennial heavily invested (and recently hurt) in Crypto — He was impressively educated on the matter.

I look around my area and ask what's going on and why.

Let's just say I should have paid more attention in Chemistry and Biology. And boy what I could do with an engineering degree right now…

Having a fly on the wall mentality with my ears and mind wide open has proved beneficial.

For example, take a look at AZPN.

There sure was a lot of volume the last day of November…… I wonder why…..
