This "Old" Company Went BIG on its IPO

And This Was the Second Time...
Long weekend ahead of us with the 4th of July holiday coming up.

Being that the market is closed on Monday, will we see a Friday sell-off?

I'd look to play it tight today or walk away altogether...

Frankly, sometimes it's better to sit back and watch the action...

There's a tendency for traders to feel like they have to be trading every second between opening and closing bell.

I get it.

You don't want to miss putting on a position that could make your month. But you can lose this way when you force trades.

And this is especially true when you are trading from a small account since you're trying to level up as quickly as possible so you can trade the "big" names...

There are other ways around this.

Options Coach Chris Hood talks about how you can do just that in his latest article.

Link below.

Have a safe weekend and Happy Independence Day!

Keep moving,
All trading styles and strategies depend a lot on the person clicking the "Buy" and "Sell" buttons. So how do you figure out your own?

Options Coach Chris Hood and Brian Jones walk you through exactly how to nail down your own system.

WORD ON THE STREET
It's Okay to Stay Big, Joe's Uncool EV, The Kreme IPO

  • Body Positive Policy - Fitness enthusiasts and personal trainers with a Pinterest (PINS) account might be dismayed to hear of the latest ban by the social media company. On Thursday, Pinterest announced that it would be banning all weight loss ads due to an update to its policy addressing users who may have issues dealing with body image and are "feeling added pressure" as the recovery from the pandemic continues. Does this mean Weight Watchers International (WW) has to delete its account?

  • "Folks, I'm a car guy" - In an effort to promote the Biden Administration's infrastructure initiative, the president took to Twitter to give an extra push for citizens to buy American-made electric vehicles. But rather than featuring the most desired US EV, Tesla (TSLA) in the video ad attached to the tweet, Biden went with a Chevy Bolt. This is the same vehicle that Motortrend refers to the hatchback as being "chubby, vaguely egg-shaped." Here's a clip of the Bolt in action:
  • IPDoughnut - In a week of IPO madness featuring companies attempting to pioneer new industries, one company's debut stood out despite being a more traditional name. Although it was the company's second go-around, Krispy Kreme (DNUT) made its entrance back onto Wall Street after pricing its shares at $17 and closed the Thursday's session up over 23%. With the day's performance, the household name doughnut maker now has a valuation of over $3 billion... for donuts.

  • Savings Account vs. Stablecoins - The Fed has a new enemy in the digital asset world, but it's not NFTs or meme-coins. Boston Fed President Eric Rosengren voiced concern over what are known as "stablecoins" like Tether. Though they're ideal for crypto investors who prefer less volatility, the concern rests on the idea that a rapid move away from them could parallel that of the trouble seen in the money market in recent years which caused widespread credit issues. How much is Tether paying, 10%? How do you sign up?
HOT SPOTS: What's Going on in Geopolitics

  • "Great Wall Of Steel" - The Chinese president, Xi Jinping, warned potential enemies that they would never be allowed to meddle with his country.
"We will never allow anyone to bully, oppress or subjugate China," he boasted. "Anyone who dares try to do that will have their heads bashed bloody against the Great Wall of Steel forged by over 1.4 billion Chinese people."

  • US And Japan Hold War Games - The former enemies in the Pacific War are quickly rebuilding a strong military alliance. Japan and the United States held major war games designed to plan a response to Chinese military action over Taiwan. The ultimate goal, according to one US official, is to have an integrated defense strategy.

  • Let It Go - The Atlantic might face the first hurricane of 2021. Tropical Storm "Elsa" is forming as we speak and should approach the United States next week. Of course, it is first expected to bash the Caribbean beginning today. As if we didn't have enough weather woes so far this year.
CUTTING EDGE: What's Happening In Tech

  • Radioactive Boars On The Loose - One unexpected aftereffect of the Fukushima nuclear disaster from a decade ago is that wild boars have been mating with pigs in the radioactive zone. The result is a new hybrid species... with the interesting DNA that comes from both a new species and high mutation. What can we say - life finds a way.

  • Naked Mole Rats Hold Key To Disease Cures - One of the reasons scientists use rodents to test prospective disease cures is because they don't live very long. However, maybe this is the wrong approach. Naked mole rats live 40 to 50 years - extraordinarily long compared to other creatures of the same size. They appear to be immune to certain kinds of cancer and even certain kinds of pain. The International Journal of Molecular Scientists is urging a research effort to focus on the... unique looking creatures to find out their secrets.

  • Navy Gives Up On Railguns - Alas, one futuristic military dream comes to an end. (At least for the United States.) A railgun that fires projectiles at seven times the speed of sound using electricity has been scrapped for now. Instead, the Navy is going with the tried and true approach of building hypersonic missiles. Whatever the Navy decides, it needs a plan fast, as China is becoming increasingly confident about military action in the region.
Who needs rail guns when you have these?
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION

"Large-cap stocks often make the best options plays. However, the price of the options can make the trades just too expensive. Here are some ideas for playing pricey stocks with a smaller account."

You gotta have money to make money. At least that's what they tell you. But they're not telling you the whole story.  There are still ways to make major gains on large-cap stocks with relatively small investments - and Your Options Coach Chris Hood is here to show you how.

BEFORE THE BELL
Here's another lesson in why patterns matter.

The chart for today is a de-SPACed AST Spacemobile (ASTS) - one of the SPACs that didn't get nearly the attention it deserved...

But we're looking at trendlines and angles on this chart.

The solid, white trendlines shows an angle of trajectory heading higher while the white, dotted trendline from the highs shows a continuation before pivoting off the lows...

In the gray bubble you can see the breakout point from the pennant before gapping up over 35% earlier this week. This is a little too much, too fast and, as most gaps do, I'd look for it to fill the area to around ~$10.35.

At the same time, the hype could carry this forward a little more.

I'd wait for the mid $10.00 range or day trade it for now.

(Disclosure: I hold no position in ASTS.)
