Huge day today (and I’m not even Elon!)

Check out this incredible Tesla earnings!
Hey there,

Did you see the news from Tesla's earnings call yesterday?

Holy smoke!

You have to hear about their incredible numbers.

But before we get there, I want to remind you…

Reminder: I'm joining trading legend Tom Busby LIVE at 1:00 PM today in Jacksonville.

Why did I fly from the West Coast to the East Coast just to meet with Tom for an hour?

Because Tom's predicting a major market event that could come as soon as October 1st.

And I want to teach you all the strategies for how we're going to deal with it.

Yesterday, after the bell, Tesla announced earnings.

And whatever you might think of Elon Musk, these numbers are absolutely incredible.

The company reported more than a billion dollars in net income (more or less synonymous with profit!) in Q2, which is up ten times since Q2 a year ago!

They reported $1.45 earnings per share, against an expectation of $.98.

This is Tesla's first quarter over $1 billion in its history.

About the only negative you can point to here is a significant impairment due to Bitcoin, but with these big headlines, people are going to be able to overcome that pretty quickly.

Now, this sets up for a really interesting chart to watch.

As I write this, TSLA is slightly higher in after-market trading, spiking sharply on the initial news, then dropping and leveling off.

But when you look at the chart, we've got a definite stock to watch:

Over the last month or so, Tesla has been locked in a tunnel, looking for a breakout.

Now, you know that good earnings news doesn't always mean great news for the stock price.

But if we do see the share price push up over that line of resistance at around 700…

Then we could see some significant gains, possibly to that previous recent high at ~780.00

Of course, Tesla is an expensive stock and maybe not one you'll want to trade. That's alright!

But always remember: options and fractional shares are out there.

At the very least, as a major stock that people will be talking about, you should keep an eye on this and watch where it goes.

Hope to see you this afternoon!
