| Dear Smart Investor, In case you missed it… Crypto investors became ecstatic this week after Amazon posted a job opening for a “Digital Currency and Blockchain Product Lead.” As the news spread, speculation arose that the company would soon accept cryptocurrencies as payments. This sent the crypto market 11% higher in just a few hours. But after Amazon came out and said it wouldn’t accept crypto as payment this year, the market quickly pared its gains. This isn’t new. Contradictory news about crypto surfaces regularly, creating volatility that distracts investors from the bigger picture. In this case, Amazon dismissed specific plans for crypto but reaffirmed its interest in the space. You should take this as validation that the crypto market is here to stay. And it looks like the market has the same interpretation. Cryptos are heating up. After rising 20% this week to $1.6 trillion, the crypto market is ready to test its $2.6 trillion all-time high.
