In the financial world, “stimulus” means an attempt by the government to boost economic growth in times of recession or slow economic growth. Because overdoing it could lead to many unintended consequences.  The most serious of them being inflation. In layman terms, here is what a rise in inflation means: A one-dollar note buys you less in 2020 than what it bought you in 2019. Now, what does this all have to do with the forex market? Too much stimulus would lead to inflation which is nothing but an erosion in the value of a currency. The thing is, due to the insane levels of stimulus injected by the Fed and the government, the dollar has been gradually weakening against other currencies since March.
