Hey, this is Nick Giambruno. I look forward to you joining us on the Pot Stock Millionaire Summit tomorrow night. As a reminder, the call starts at 8pm Eastern, sharp. You'll get a link to the official page tomorrow. So keep your eyes open for it. Pot stocks have been on a tear recently. However, I want to emphasize... It's not too late... right now is a great time to get into legal pot. Look at everything happening... February 26
The SEC approved the first pure play cannabis company (a producer that "touches the plant") to be listed on a major U.S. stock exchange. Previously, Canadian producers were only listed over the counter. April 11
Former Speaker of the House (and former anti-pot politician) Republican John Boehner announced that he'd joined the advisory board of Acreage Holdings, a U.S. investment firm focused on marijuana. April 12
New York Governor Cuomo comes out in favor of cannabis legalization. He said, "You have states that have legalized it now... It is no longer a question of legal or illegal. It's legal in Massachusetts. It may be legal in New Jersey. Which means for all intents and purposes, it's going to be here anyway." April 12
U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell—the most powerful Republican on Capitol Hill—introduced a bill to legalize industrial hemp nationwide. McConnell, who represents the tobacco-growing state of Kentucky, tweeted that his legislation would "empower American farmers to explore this promising new market." April 13
President Trump promised not to interfere with states' legal cannabis industries. He completely disavowed Attorney General Jeff Sessions' ill-conceived plan to attack the U.S. marijuana industry (which was never popular or practical to execute anyway). April 19
The FDA voted to recommend approval of the first prescription cannabidiol (CBD) medicine—to treat rare and severe forms of epilepsy. Any one of these six events would be remarkable all on its own. Together, they're an absolute windfall for the cannabis industry. But the news gets even better... April 19
Powerful Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer announces he will introduce a bill to decriminalize marijuana on federal level. This is huge. Schumer is not some freshman senator. He's the Senate Minority leader. He's been in the Senate since 2005. Before that, he was in the House of Representatives for 18 years. I might not agree with Schumer on much. But the fact is, he has the clout to actually push this kind of bill through. It's 2018. Marijuana has gone mainstream. Even the old dinosaurs on Capitol Hill are catching on—which is why it's imperative to act now. This is to say nothing of Canada, which of course is moving full steam ahead. Connect the dots here, and the tipping point has clearly been reached. All this news is great news for legal marijuana. And you have a chance to get in on the ground floor of this new industry, which one day could be bigger than alcohol and even soda. So, make sure you join us tomorrow tonight so you don't miss out. See you on the call. Sincerely, Nick Giambruno Editor, Crisis Investing |
