Mgmt. noted that profits rose 50% from Q4 2023, when the firm was hit with a one-time $2.9B assessment from the FDIC related to the regional bank failures. Fixed income and equities trading revenues were up 20% and 22%, while investment banking fees jumped 49% to $2.48B. Jamie Dimon described the economy as resilient, but voiced caution on persistent inflation and geopolitical tensions.
