Traders rejoice! President Trump’s return is bringing tons of volatility into the stock market – and we’re only approaching the end of January. To date… The president’s inauguration day orders first seeded the row of market volatility we’re seeing now, causing chaos in the global stock market. Then on January 17th, Trump launched the $TRUMP meme coin, driving Bitcoin to over $109,000 and sending the entire crypto market soaring. In the last week alone, threats of tariffs on Canada and Mexico – as well as actual tariffs levied against Colombia – are having massive impacts in global currencies as I write to you. China’s AI advancements are also causing a whole crisis of faith in the domestic tech sector despite Trump’s pledge to fund the next generation of AI and quantum. If January is any preview of 2025 – and the next four years in general – we should expect a chaotic stock market to reign supreme. And as I always say, any opportunities to trade on volatility will give us an edge in the options market.
