My pivot number today on the ES (S&P 500 futures) is 3705. Resistance is up at 3765 and support at 3660. We saw a turnaround overnight in Asia which has moved the ES up quite a bit to 3718. The risk of overnight trading and the risk involved doesn't do us any favors. I'm thinking over some strategies on how to counteract this risk with an orderly approach. Short-term trading is still the way to go but be patient and don't get sucked into an early pop only to be buying at the high of the day. Click here for today's Pre-Market Planner Numbers. This Weekly chart of the S&P futures shows we are oversold for the month and at support areas.
Kind words from our best students: "Sold the remaining portion of the MSFT position for 1.44 from the 1.11 entry this morning. Overall had a 24% gain. Another good trade." — Gary S., a premium subscriber to Tom Busby
