The Re-Education Camps

My poor dad was the head of the school system in Hawaii. He was a good man. An honest man. He had a PhD. He believed in education.

But he was a product of the system. He was a socialist at heart. He just didn't know it.

He believed the government was the answer to every problem. He believed in job security. He believed in pensions.

He believed in the collective.

That is the difference. That is the choice.
