Find out what you missed!
| T&Q Week In Review | Find out what you missed! | | | | The week started with Powell's Jackson Hole pivot hanging in the air and the market did what the market does. Small caps ripped, the dollar eased, and tech took a breather while everyone stared at one ticker, Nvidia. By midweek it was a waiting game, then NVDA cleared the bar and kept the AI dream alive, even as folks warned about concentration risk. Under the hood we got sturdier durable goods, softer housing vibes, and a curve that kept steepening as the long end inched up. | Into Thursday and Friday the mood turned macro. The second GDP estimate firmed up growth and July PCE landed as expected, with core PCE at 2.9% y/y and headline at 2.6% y/y. Yields drifted lower after the print and stocks stuck near records. Washington stayed loud. The White House push on the Fed escalated with the Lisa Cook fight in court, and trade policy got real for shoppers as the U.S. ended the de minimis duty-free rule for small parcels that power everyone's favorite cheap shopping addictions - Temu and Shein. | | | | | If you think there's something strange about the "feud" between Trump and Musk… | You need to see THIS jaw-dropping video… | Because it explains what could REALLY be going on behind the scenes… | And how it could hand investors a stake in a $12 trillion revolution. | Click here now to see the full story. | | | | | | This is jobs week. After Labor Day we get ISM Manufacturing on Tuesday, jobless claims Thursday, and the August jobs report on Friday bright and early. The playbook is clean. If payrolls are modest and unemployment nudges up, the market will hear "September cut still on." If hiring runs hot, expect a quick reset in rates and a test for the small-cap catch-up. Watch the dollar and gold as your tell on the headline. | Tactically, keep it simple. Check equal-weight versus cap-weight to see if breadth keeps improving. If claims stay contained and ISM stabilizes, growth can keep dancing while cyclicals tag along. If the data bites… tighten those and let Friday's narrative show its hand. |
