Homepage Portfolio FAQ Ultimate Income Earned $693 of Instant Income in April and $3,925 Year to Date It was an awful April for stock investors, with the S&P 500 Index snapping a five-month-long winning streak by falling 4.2% last month. That was the worst monthly performance for the blue-chip index since last September, which was the middle of a 10% market correction. But stocks have bounced back recently thanks to another strong earnings reporting season with widespread profit surprises. As for our Ultimate Income program, April's market showers didn't break our income-producing stride. In fact, members earned $693 in option income earned from selling calls and puts plus traditional dividends last month. That brings our year-to-date instant income total to $3,925 this year. And since Ultimate Income launched in 2022, members have now earned a grand total of $18,991! Today we have three options up for expiration: covered call options on The Trade Desk (TTD) and Nike (NKE), plus cash-secured puts on Alphabet (GOOG). The latter two options should expire far out of the money at the close today. And we will consider another round of options on those positions soon. As for TTD, our 3 May $88 call is slightly in the money. Barring a steep reversal in the market today, we will likely be called away. But we'd be called away at a solid gain of 12.82%, or $1,000 in profits for each 100 shares acquired at $78 back in October. Plus, the $425 earned from a few rounds of put and call option premiums along the way. Nicely done! Be sure to rest up this weekend, as we have nine other put and call options due to expire in the next two weeks. And I expect we'll have opportunities to roll some of these options early to collect more instant income ahead of schedule.
