Opening The Kimono On Naked Puts

image

Good Morning, Bullpen!

The market took it on the chin this week. However, yesterday all the major stock indices managed to gain some ground with the S&P 500 closing up 1% and Nasdaq Composite up 1.6%.

After the bell the S&P futures continued to plunge in the afterhours session after major tech companies posted earnings. While the numbers looked great for virtually every mega cap, Facebook (FB), Amazon (AMZN), Apple (AAPL) and Twitter (TWTR) took a nosedive and dragged the indices along.

This morning ES-Mini futures are trading 0.7% lower after big tech earnings failed to impress.

It could put pressure on stocks going into the weekend, as traders are already concerned with headlines pertaining to the stimulus (or lack of one), the election, and the ongoing pandemic.

However, earnings season has brought tons of opportunities to trade and many Bullpen members have been raking in huge wins.

Just Yesterday, the Prince of Profit, Kenny Glick, made what he's calling "the greatest trade of 2020".

It was an earnings reversal on Overstock (OSTK) - that's when a stock has earnings and goes up in the aftermarket… then goes down when the market opens in the morning.

Kenny made beaucoup bucks on the OSTK earnings reversal, and so did many Bullpen members. But don't sail off into the sunset yet… The selloff in the after hours might bring many opportunities - Facebook (FB), Apple (AAPL), Amazon (AMZN) and Twitter (TWTR) to name a few.

And get ready - because they are all potential earnings reversals. Check out how these stocks gapped down on earnings yesterday:

This means that if they can break the 1-minute and multi-day VWAPs to the upside when the market opens, they could shoot through the roof!

Don't believe me? Check out what ConocoPhillips (COP) did yesterday:

This pattern isn't guaranteed, but it's worth watching because when it works, it really works - which then leads to Kenny Glick starting a party in the Bullpen.

So join us in the Bullpen, as we come together to plan our day, share our ideas, and make money together.
